Misunderstated v3 - Image Gallery (2002)
The image gallery part of misunderstated v3 was very complex. The content (images, titles, and descriptions) was controlled by a custom CMS backend - and then the user was presented a shockwave file in the browser.
I created a pseudo-file browser in shockwave that talked back and forth with some PHP and loaded thumbnails right into the shockwave.
When the user clicked the image, it would load a PHP template in the right frame - never redrawing or reloading the shockwave.
This was super slick, but for some reason, the code in the shockwave only ran correctly in IE.
